Volunteering!

*new*  ELECTRONIC SIGN-UP!   *new*

This year we will be collecting your volunteer information on-line. Yes, we are entering the modern age! Below are the steps you need to follow to ensure we have your proper contact information and to ensure your child’s information will be included in the class list.

1. Go to https://www.yourvolunteers.com/?eid=F73CA54JM68HW92SX2, click “register” at the bottom of the box.
2. In the future you can go to http://www.yourvolunteers.com/vol/ (This will not work for the initial sign up.)
3. You will need to create a username and password.
4. Fill out the fields as they appear. Please enter just one e-mail address per person and one phone number per person. The phone number can be either cell, home or work.
6. Please make sure you add multiple areas of interest. You are not obligated to work on a particular project just because you mark it as an area of interest, but it will ensure you receive information about these events and activities as well as volunteer opporutnities to fill your volunteer hours for the FFO.

Once you have completed the above steps, the FFO has your contact information and can keep you informed on the events, happenings and news that the FFO has to share with you over the coming year.

Dear Sunrise Parents,

Our goal for the 2012-2013 school year is 100% participation from all our families when it comes to volunteering at Sunrise.  We hope to have each parent donate 2 hours next school year to FFO Projects and events.  This does not mean a great time commitment, but many of our beloved programs and activities may be cut if we can’t find someone to chair them.  (Many will recall the sadness some students felt when we had to cancel the Talent Show last year.)

Below is a list of the FFO projects and activities for the 2012-2013 school year. Please contact the FFO Volunteer Coordinator, Blythe Edmondson at BlytheEdmondson@hotmail.com, for more information on these chair positions. A simple inquiry does not obligate you for the job. As you can see we have approximately 25 activities needing a chair, and to date a handful of people have chaired all these events. Some of our prior chairs are graduating with their fifth graders this year and some simply cannot handle so many projects anymore. Although there are nearly 600 students this year, don’t assume someone else will step up to save these actives; please help us by volunteering to chair or co-chair one of these wonderful programs.

If you are interested in filling one of the positions below or have an idea of your own please fill out the bottom portion and return it to the Sunrise front office.
